Zebra LP2844 Thermal Printers Free of Charge Drivers Download

Many of these machines were used by UPS originally. UPS offers this driver for the LP 2844

UPS.com Thermal printer Driver

The following instructions will help you download and install the UPSThermal Printer driver program (UPS_319_117.EXE) to your selecteddirectory.

  1. Select the Download the UPS Thermal Printer Driver link below.
  2. When prompted by the File Download - Security Warning dialogue box to choose Run, Save, or Cancel, choose Run. When prompted by the Unknown Publisher Security Warning, "Are you sure you want to run this software?", choose Run.
  3. Select Unzip to extract the files.  Once files are extracted, select OK and then select Close to close the window.
  4. Navigate to C:\UPSDrivers and double-click the file setup.exe to start the Installation Utility.
  5. Select the language to install.
  6. When prompted, select the Printer Interface you will be using, then click Next.
  7. USB Connection or Other Connection  and click Next. You will be prompted to choose your printer model from a list. Click Next after choosing your printer model and the driver will install.



***IMPORTANT***

Please make sure to set up your driver to the right printer model name and number. In this case the LP 2844.  Also before printing go to the Thermal Printer Properties on the Printers and Faxes Folder. Click on the Printer Preferences. Make sure to set up the printer to use the 4" X 6" paper. If you do not do that the printer might print only a part of the label or print it wrong. Also for better results set up the printing speed to 2. The menu to change speed setting is under device options, speed settings. You can also try different levels of darkness under device options, head settings, print darkness. Try the darkest setting.

Please try to play with the settings before assuming the printer is defective. Everyone uses a different shipping programs. Most of the programs we know are set up to take advantage of the thermal printers.
